Clerical & Intake Coordinator- Verna E.
Verna started with the LFB in December 2006 where she was thrust into the busy Christmas season. She is very compassionate and dedicated to all LFB clients and her heart shows in her work, from the hugs she gives out to remembering little details about each person who walks in the door. Verna is very committed to the clients and the other organizations the LFB deals with on a daily basis. She promotes the LFB at the Hurricanes games for Food Bank Fridays and has actually become quite a hockey fan.

Warehouse Manager - Gary Passmore
Gary just celebrated his 71st birthday and over five years with the LFB. Without Gary, the warehouse wouldn’t run as smoothly as it does or be as clean and organized as it is. Gary has a wicked sense of humor and makes it fun for people to be around him. He is well known in Lethbridge, and because of this, the LFB often benefits from his special relationships as he is always promoting the work the LFB does.
Hamper Room Coordinator - Scott Newinger
Scotty adds his quick wit and sense of humor to his job and is so much fun to work with. He is very committed to ensuring consistency for our clients and he always helps anyone who needs it. Scott started as a volunteer in December 2007, where as soon as there was a job opening we begged him to stay. Scott is a kind man, who is now the face of the LFB as he is currently starring in commercials on Global TV.
Kitchen & Community Coordinator - Jacquie Faulkner
Jacquie has been with the LFB for over seven years and is an intricate part of the LFB. Jacquie is amazing with the volunteers, from the young kids doing work experience to the service groups that come in to help with a project. Jacquie really loves what she does at the LFB and is very thoughtful towards the clients needs. She is organized and runs a tight ship in the kitchen with a waste nothing philosophy.
Kitchen Coordinator – Susan Newman
Susan has been working at the LFB for four years. Susan is extremely organized, likes to joke around while she works and brings laughter with her everyday. Susan is really good at motivating the volunteers and her co-workers and always gets the job done ahead of schedule. Since changing positions from client intake to kitchen coordinator, Susan has been able to use her organizational skills and her love of cleaning. If there is a shelf, corner, counter or box that can do with a tidy…Susan will find it and get it done quick!
Kitchen Coordinator - Laraine Gray
Laraine started off as a board member and volunteer and then decided that she like being on the front lines so much that she resigned as a board member and became an employee. Laraine is very kind and caring which helps the clients who come in feel comfortable and at ease. Laraine really believes in helping out our community and is always willing to work beyond the hours of her job if it means that one more person can be helped.
